Softball Recap: Fairview Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Fairview can now relate to. They lost 8-1 to the Mangum Tigers on Friday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-1 on Thursday.

Fairview has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season. As for Mangum, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-8 record this season.

Fairview does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Mangum, they are on the road again on Friday to play Dale at 2:00 p.m. The Pirates' pitching crew has only allowed 0.9 runs per game this season, so the Tigers' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
