Kylei Buffington made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 4-for-5 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. She has been hot recently, having posted three or more hits the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was NyAsia Starks, who went 2-for-5 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base.
Meanwhile, Eagle's Landing came up short against Woodland on Thursday, falling 18-6.
Salena Lopez was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Cayla Bailey, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
Eagle's Landing's loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for McDonough, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-19.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Wednesday as neither team is afraid to steal. McDonough has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.8 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Eagle's Landing struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.9 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
