Soccer Recap: Sonoma Valley Comes Up Short

If Sonoma Valley was riding high fresh off their 9-0 takedown of American Canyon last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Sonoma Valley Dragons fell just short of the Vintage Crushers by a score of 3-2 on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Dragons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 872nd, while the Crushers are ranked 118th).

Sonoma Valley dropped their record down to 1-6-1 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Vintage, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 5-0-4.

Sonoma Valley will challenge Justin-Siena at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Vintage, they will face off against Napa at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
