Soccer Game Preview: West vs. East Bakersfield

West hasn't had much luck against East Bakersfield recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The West Vikings and the East Bakersfield Blades will meet in a classic East v. West matchup at 6:00 p.m.

West is headed into Wednesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Friday. They lost 9-0 to Tehachapi.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask East Bakersfield). They never let North onto the board and left with a 5-0 victory on Friday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Blades needed considering they were shutout in their previous contest.

They hit North with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Dani Carrillo (2), Britney Murrell (2), and Arianna Aguilar Mendez.

East Bakersfield's win bumped their record up to 5-11-3. As for West, their loss dropped their record down to 2-13-1.
