Football Game Preview: Rushford-Peterson Trojans vs. Chatfield Gophers

The Rushford-Peterson Trojans will head out on the road to take on the Chatfield Gophers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Rushford-Peterson took a loss when they played away from home two weeks ago, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. In a tight matchup that could have gone either way, they made off with a 21-20 victory over Randolph/Fit Academy Charter.

Meanwhile, Chatfield is still undefeated this season after their game against Triton on Friday, but Triton came as close as anyone has to beating them. The Gophers came within a single point of losing the streak, but they secured a 24-23 W against the Cobras. 24 seems to be a good number for the Gophers as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.

Chatfield's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Rushford-Peterson, the win got them back to even at 2-2.
