Basketball Recap: Needles Picks Up 13th Straight Win at Home

Needles had won 12 straight home games dating back to last season and Gianna Collier did her part to make it 13 on Saturday. The Needles Mustangs claimed a resounding 51-15 win over the Lincoln County Lynx thanks in part to Collier, who went 9 for 15 en route to 25 points and five steals. That makes it ten consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Needles' points.

Another player making a difference was Emilee Mills, who posted four points and three steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played.

Needles is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 37.2 points. As for Lincoln County, the defeat snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 11-8 record.

Needles will venture away from home to challenge Adelson at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Needles is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56 points per game this season. As for Lincoln County, they will take on Pahranagat Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pahranagat Valley will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Lincoln County surely won't give up without a fight.
