2024 MaxPreps All-America Team: Macaria Spears of Texas headlines high school volleyball's best

Prestonwood Christian star and MaxPreps National Player of the Year Macaria Spears leads 60-player squad.

The 2024 high school volleyball season is complete with state champions crowned across the country. Byron Nelson (Trophy Club, Texas) is the MaxPreps National Champion and senior outside hitter Macaria Spears of No. 3 Prestonwood Christian (Plano, Texas) is the MaxPreps National Player of the Year.

The postseason honors continue with the unveiling of the MaxPreps All-America Team.

The 60-player team includes hitters, setters and liberos who led their squads to success this season. Many of the All-Americans are state champions, some put up eye-popping statistical numbers. Most are headed to marquee college programs.

FIRST TEAM



Hitters

Henley Anderson, Dripping Springs (Texas)
6-3 | Junior (Class of 2026) | Uncommitted

Finished with a team-high 549 kills as the Tigers went 46-3 and were ranked for much of the season. She also led the team in aces with 66 and added 486 serve receptions, 302 digs and 59 blocks.

Gentry Barker, Lovejoy (Lucas, Texas)
5-10 | Sophomore (Class of 2027) | Uncommitted

Followed a sensational freshman year by smashing 468 this season for the Leopards (36-9). She added 620 serve receptions and 466 digs.

Logan Bell, Roncalli (Indianapolis, Ind.)
5-10 | Senior (Class of 2025) | Oregon

Dropped 333 kills as the Royals went unbeaten and snagged the Class 3A title. She finished her career with 1,280 kills and helped Roncalli go 115-19 during her run in the program.

6-1 | Senior (Class of 2025) | Pittsburgh
Helped the Grizzlies (42-7) to their second straight Class 6A title with 505 kills. She had 21 kills and 14 digs in the four-set title win and ends her career with 1,637 kills.

Suliane Davis, Colleyville Heritage (Colleyville, Texas)
6-2 | Senior (Class of 2025) | BYU

A hitting machine, she finished the season with 800 kills (6.6 per set) while hitting 36 percent as the Panthers went 36-7. She added 676 digs and 671 serve receptions. Davis finished her prep career with 2,618 kills.

Megan Fitch, Cornerstone Christian (San Antonio, Texas)
6-1 | Senior (Class of 2025) | Texas A&M

Pounded 317 kills for the No. 12 team in the MaxPreps Top 25. Against a national schedule, Fitch had a 42 percent kill rate and added 454 serve receptions and 273 digs. She finishes her career with 776 kills.



Audrey Flanagan, Mira Costa (Manhattan Beach, Calif.)
6-3 | Junior (Class of 2026) | Wisconsin

The Mustangs were ranked in the MaxPreps Top 25 for much of the season behind Flanagan's 478 kills, 447 serve receptions and 209 digs.

Kylie Kleckner, Byron Nelson (Trophy Club, Texas)
6-0 | Junior (Class of 2026) | Washington

On a team loaded with stars, Kleckner was the main offensive weapon. She dropped 573 kills (5.2 per set) while hitting at 36 percent. The six-rotation standout added a team-high 513 serve receptions along with 297 digs, 54 blocks and 50 aces.

6-3 | Senior (Class of 2025) | Yale
Pounded a team-high 451 kills (3.8 per set) as the Dons went 46-3 with an Open Division state title. In the four state matches, Kordas pounded 71 kills with only 14 errors in 145 attempts, including 18 in a sweep of Archbishop Mitty in the final.

Tessa Larkin, Xavier College Prep (Phoenix, Ariz.)
6-1 | Sophomore (Class of 2027) | Uncommitted

Helped the Gators to a No. 8 spot in the final MaxPreps Top 25 while also grabbing the Class 6A state title. She dropped 474 kills (4.5 per set), including 23 in the four-set title game victory. She added 515 serve receptions and 337 digs.

Lindsey Mangelson, Hamilton Southeastern (Fishers, Ind.)
6-2 | Senior (Class of 2025) | Mississippi State

Led the Royals in kills with 549 (5.3 per set) while hitting at 36 percent. She added 356 serve receptions, 226 digs, 58 aces and 50 blocks as Hamilton Southeastern went 32-3. She finished her career a two-time state champion with 1,139 kills.

Teraya Sigler, Horizon (Scottsdale, Ariz.)
6-3 | Senior (Class of 2025) | Nebraska

Led the Huskies to a Class 5A title with 619 kills (5.9 per set) while hitting at 38 percent. The top-ranked player in her class added 351 digs and 64 aces.

MAXPREPS NATIONAL PLAYER OF THE YEAR
Macaria Spears, Prestonwood Christian (Plano, Texas)
6-3 | Senior (Class of 2025) | Texas

Finished the season with 649 kills (6.2 per set) as the Lions went 37-2 and won their third straight TAPPS Class 6A title. The daughter of former NFL lineman Marcus Spears won four state titles in her prep career, adding one in Virginia as a freshman.

Lynney Tarnow, Benet Academy (Lisle, Ill.)
6-5 | Junior (Class of 2026) | Wisconsin

The Redwings were near the top of the MaxPreps Top 25 all season behind Tarnow, who piled up 252 kills, 89 blocks and 35 aces.

Madison Quest, Divine Savior Holy Angels (Milwaukee, Wis.)
6-3 | Senior (Class of 2025) | Wisconsin

A four-time first-team All-State selection, she led the Dashers to a third straight Division 1 title, 47-1 record and No. 5 finish in the MaxPreps Top 25. Quest had 504 kills (4.3 per set) while hitting 37 percent this season, ending her career with 1,926 kills.

Charlotte Vinson, Yorktown (Ind.)
6-2 | Senior (Class of 2025) | Indiana
More than just an inspirational story after returning from a near-fatal illness in the spring, Vinson hammered 361 kills in 83 sets after returning in mid-September. This year's Indiana Ms. Volleyball helped the Tigers go 33-3 Tigers and reach the Class 4A championship game.

Setters

5-11 | Senior (Class of 2025) | Georgia
Multi-time MaxPreps All-American led the Eagles to their third straight state title and a 28-1 record. The Class 5A Player of the Year had 917 assists this season and finished her career with 3,089.



6-2 | Senior (Class of 2025) | Nebraska
Helped the Marlins to a 29-3 mark while posting 730 assists along with 188 digs, 131 kills and 52 blocks.

Ava Hunter, Hamilton Southeastern
5-11 | Senior (Class of 2025) | Loyola Chicago
Dished up 1,013 assists for the Royals (33-3), finishing with 1,984 for her career and helping the program go 99-3 in her three seasons.

6-2 | Senior (Class of 2025) | Georgia Tech
Distributed 937 assists (10.0 per set) as Alpharetta went 36-0, won its second consecutive Class AAAAAA state title and finished No. 6 in the final MaxPreps Top 25.

5-11| Senior (Class of 2025) | Washington State
Helped the Rockets to a 39-1 record, Class 5A title and third state championship in four seasons. She dished up 1,233 assists (11.0 per set) while adding 372 digs, 148 kills, 59 blocks and 43 aces.

Libero

Taylor Deckert, Mira Costa
5-9 | Senior (Class of 2025) | USC
A back-row rock, she led the Mustangs with 577 serve receptions and 526 digs.

Maya Evens, Cathedral Catholic
5-7 | Senior (Class of 2025) | Notre Dame
A three-time MaxPreps All-American, she helped the Dons win their second Open Division state title in three seasons with 482 digs, 470 serve receptions and 154 assists.

Gillian Pitts, Prestonwood Christian
5-9 | Senior (Class of 2025) | Houston
Led the No. 3 Lions with 472 assists and 169 serve receptions while anchoring the defense for the No. 3 team in the final MaxPreps Top 25.

5-7 | Senior (Class of 2025) | Wisconsin
Plays with reckless abandon as she helped the Rockets to their 24th overall Kentucky title. She had 466 serve receptions and 464 digs as Assumption went 35-8 against a national schedule.



Aniya Warren, Benet Academy
5-8 | Senior (Class of 2025) | Indiana
Led the Redwings to a 40-2 record, runner-up finish in the Class 4A postseason and a No. 10 finish in the MaxPreps Top 25. She had 310 digs on the season and finished her career with 1,649.

All-around

5-11 | Senior (Class of 2025) | USC
Messer had 649 assists (6.9 per set) along with 337 kills, 56 blocks and 39 aces.

6-0 | Senior (Class of 2025 ) | Stanford
The two-sport phenom led the Mustangs with 483 assists while adding 405 kills (4.5 per set). She also had 202 digs, 68 blocks and 61 aces.

Led the national champions with 1,432 assists and was third on the team with 194 kills.

5-11 | Senior (Class of 2025) | Jacksonville State
Helped the Titans return to the champion's seat in Class A with 610 assists and 307 kills as Papillion-LaVista South went 34-5. She ends her career with 1,798 assists and 595 kills.
