Basketball Game Preview: Packinghouse Christian Academy Bears vs. Norton Science & Language Academy Rockets

The Packinghouse Christian Academy Bears will face off against the Norton Science & Language Academy Rockets at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Packinghouse Christian Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.5 points per game this season.

Last Thursday, Packinghouse Christian Academy took their match with ease, bagging a 54-17 win over Calvary Baptist. The Bears have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 20 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Packinghouse Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Pearl Harry, who almost dropped a double-double on 13 boards and nine assists. Harry has been hot for a while, having posted eight or more boards the last ten times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Miranda Nordquist, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten boards.

Packinghouse Christian Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in five consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Norton Science & Language Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They were dealt a 56-0 loss at the hands of Academy for Academic Excellence. The matchup marked the first time this season in which the Rockets were not able to get on the board.

Packinghouse Christian Academy is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.5 points per game. As for Norton Science & Language Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-8.

Everything came up roses for Packinghouse Christian Academy against Norton Science & Language Academy in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, as the squad secured a 74-10 victory. In that game, Packinghouse Christian Academy amassed a halftime lead of 55-4, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Tuesday.
