Basketball Recap: Fontana Takes a Loss

After flying high against Rim of the World last Tuesday, Fontana came back down to earth. The Fontana Steelers were outmatched by the Rialto Knights and fell 62-17. While losing is never fun, the Steelers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 456th, while the Knights are ranked 53rd).

Fontana's loss dropped their record down to 13-7. As for Rialto, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season.

Fontana has already played their next matchup (against Carter), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Rialto will be taking part in a tournament against Crean Lutheran at 2:30 p.m. on Monday. Rialto is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games.
