Basketball Game Preview: Upper Moreland Bears vs. Lower Moreland Lions

The Upper Moreland Bears will take on the Lower Moreland Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Having struggled with seven defeats in a row, Upper Moreland turned things around against Springfield Township on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Spartans, sneaking past 59-57. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Bears have posted since January 18, 2024.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Lower Moreland duked it out withWilliam Tennent on Friday. Lower Moreland fell just short of William Tennent by a score of 67-64. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Upper Moreland's win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-6 and their overall record up to 6-9. As for Lower Moreland, their loss dropped their record down to 11-9.
