Recap: Ligonier Valley Rams vs. United Lions
The Ligonier Valley Rams lost against the United Lions back in January of 2020, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Ligonier Valley had to suffer through a rough 74-26 loss at the hands of United. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Ligonier Valley has scored all season.
United got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Lilly McGinnis out in front who scored 18 points along with five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Maddison McGinnis, who scored 15 points along with six steals.
Ligonier Valley has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season. As for United, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 13-4.
Ligonier Valley will head out on the road to face off against Apollo Ridge at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Apollo Ridge is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak. As for United, United and Purchase Line will face off at 7:15 p.m. on January 29th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Purchase Line will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 441st, while United is ranked 131st).
