Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Sulphur Springs walked away with it. They took their matchup on Thursday with ease, bagging a 62-9 victory over the Kimball Knights. The Wildcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by 24 points or more this season.

Sulphur Springs' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jaxson Haire, who rushed for 69 yards and three touchdowns, and also picked up 63 receiving yards and one TD. Mason Cooper was another key passer, throwing for 284 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.8 yards per attempt.

Sulphur Springs' defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB three times. Leading the way was Tj Bolden with two sacks.

The victory was the fifth in a row for Sulphur Springs, bringing their record up to 10-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 44.6 points over those games. As for Kimball, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-4.

As of now, neither Sulphur Springs nor the Knights have any future games scheduled.
