It was a good run, but Pueblo Central unfortunately witnessed the end of their ten-game winning streak on Monday. They fell just short of the Widefield Gladiators by a score of 5-4. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Gladiators apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

Sophia Perez was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Pueblo Central suffered their first road defeat, dropping their record down to 18-4. As for Widefield, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-2 record this season.

Pueblo Central didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 6-5 win against Discovery Canyon on the 11th. As for Widefield, they have also already played their next matchup, a 17-0 victory against Palmer on the 7th.
