Softball Recap: Dutchtown Takes a Loss

If Dutchtown was feeling good fresh off their 23-11 takedown of McDonough on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bulldogs took a 15-12 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lovejoy Wildcats on Tuesday. The Bulldogs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Dutchtown now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Lovejoy, their victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-2.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Dutchtown will square off against rival Newnan at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Lovejoy is set to challenge their familiar foe Langston Hughes at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
