Basketball Recap: Notre Dame (SO) Takes a Loss

Notre Dame (SO) lost against Sierra Canyon back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Notre Dame (SO) Knights were dealt a 91-24 loss at the hands of the Sierra Canyon Trailblazers. The matchup marked the Knights' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Several Knights players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Leila Goldberg, who posted six points. Goldberg continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Ruby Grafft, who scored seven points.

Notre Dame (SO)'s defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 12-16. As for Sierra Canyon, the victory (which was their 20th in a row) raised their record to 25-1.

Notre Dame (SO) does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Sierra Canyon will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Bishop Montgomery at 7:00 p.m. on February 15th. One thing working in Sierra Canyon's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
