Soccer Recap: Jonesboro Comes Up Short

Jonesboro was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 8-1 to the Northside Patriots. While losing is never fun, Jonesboro can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 363rd, while Northside are ranked 79th).

Jonesboro's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Northside, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Jonesboro will square off against rival Mundy's Mill at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Northside is set to face off against their familiar foe Starr's Mill at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
