Basketball Recap: San Lorenzo Valley Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact San Lorenzo Valley can now relate to. They lost 56-30 to the Design Tech Dragons on Friday. The Cougars' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it four in a row.

Design Tech got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jewel Wilson out in front who went 8-for-19 en route to 20 points and eight boards. The dominant performance also gave Wilson a new career-high in three-point shooting accuracy (57%). Emerson 'Emi' LaPedis was another key player, putting up 15 points and six rebounds.

San Lorenzo Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 10-15. As for Design Tech, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season.

San Lorenzo Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Design Tech, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Sacred Heart Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
