Baseball Recap: Fullington Academy Trojans vs. Georgia Christian Generals
Fullington Academy had lost five straight on the road, but on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 2-17 to make it six. They came up short against the Georgia Christian Generals, falling 12-4. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Generals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-0 back in March.
Bryson Faulk was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.
As for Georgia Christian, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-2 record this season. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 10.2 runs.
On Georgia Christian's side, they got a big performance out of Hayden Coats, who got on base in two of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs. That's the most stolen bases Coats has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Bo Miller, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
Looking ahead, Fullington Academy will be playing at home against Southland Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Georgia Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Westwood at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
