Softball Recap: Omaha Westside Wins Going Away Against Millard South

Omaha Westside barely beat Millard South the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Warriors blew past the Patriots 10-0 on Thursday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Warriors needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

Not much got past Hannah Miller, who gave up just two hits and racked up 12 Ks to keep Millard South off the board. Miller has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Hadley Hansen was a standout: she went 2-for-5 with one home run and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Cadence Bedenbaugh (Bee-Den-Bow), who went 3-for-5 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Omaha Westside lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Millard South didn't launched any.

Omaha Westside is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season. As for Millard South, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-15.

As of now, neither Omaha Westside nor the Patriots have any future games scheduled.
