Basketball Recap: Lyons Sets Scoring Season-High Against Front Range Christian

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lyons). Everything went their way against the Front Range Christian Falcons on Friday as the Lyons Lions made off with a 76-53 win. Winning may never get old, but the Lions sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Lyons was led to victory by Zeke Paznokas and Caleb Christiansen. Paznokas went 13 for 27 en route to 36 points and six rebounds, while Christiansen dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten assists. Christiansen's evening made it eight games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Jake LaCrosse was another key player, putting up two points and three steals.

They weren't the only one working in the assists department: Lyons was working as a unit and finished the game with 25 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Ethan Martin and Zach Woo certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Martin posted ten points and five boards, while Woo put up 11 points.

Lyons now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Front Range Christian, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6.

Lyons will host Dawson School at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lyons has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
