Soccer Game Preview: Frederick vs. Silver Creek

The Frederick Golden Eagles will challenge the Silver Creek Raptors at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Frederick came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 4-0 to Centaurus. While losing is never fun, Frederick can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado soccer rankings (they are ranked 120th, while Centaurus are ranked 20th).

Meanwhile, Silver Creek kept a clean sheet against Niwot on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out the Cougars 1-0. Silver Creek haven't had any issues with Niwot recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Frederick's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 4-6-1. As for Silver Creek, their victory bumped their record up to 7-1-1.

Frederick might still be hurting after the 5-2 loss they got from Silver Creek when the teams last played back in October of 2024.
