Basketball Recap: Allie Duncan Key Part of a Team Effort in Crusaders Win

On Friday, the Trinity Prep Crusaders beat the Averroes Falcon 48-41. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Crusaders.

Trinity Prep's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Allie Duncan led the charge by dropping a double-double on 24 points and 18 rebounds. Duncan is crushing it when it comes to boards: she's pulled down at least 13 every time she's taken the court this season. Avigail McDonald was another key player, putting up 17 points along with six rebounds and five steals.

Trinity Prep smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 22 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive rebounds in eight consecutive contests.

Trinity Prep's win bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Averroes, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.

Trinity Prep has already played their next game (against Tournament Opponent), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Averroes will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Granada Islamic School on January 29th.
