Softball Recap: Vidalia Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Vidalia waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Swainsboro Tigers a 4-0 shutout. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 8-0 on September 4th.

Vidalia's victory bumped their record up to 12-10. As for Swainsboro, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-6 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Vidalia will head out to face off against Academy for Classical Education at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Indians' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Gryphons have averaged an impressive 8.7 runs per game this season. As for Swainsboro, they will venture away from home to take on Savannah Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
