It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Smithfield ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Coventry Oakers, sneaking past 5-4. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Sentinels also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2025.
