Softball Recap: Bethlehem Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Bethlehem Christian Academy lost against Hebron Christian back in August and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Knights took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lions. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Audry Torres put in work no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching seven innings while giving up five earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. Torres was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and two doubles.

Torres wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Ashlynn Shafer, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

Bethlehem Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 14-7. As for Hebron Christian, they pushed their record up to 21-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Bethlehem Christian Academy and Hebron Christian should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings. The Knights (ranked 100th) will meet Tallulah Falls (ranked 404th) at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Hebron Christian will take on Franklin County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (9 vs. 181).
