Baseball Recap: Justice Comes Up Short

Justice had lost three straight on the road, but on Monday they dropped down to 14-10 to make it four. They fell just short of the Edison Eagles by a score of 5-4. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last three times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

As for Edison, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-7-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.1 runs on average over those games.

For Edison's part, John Dobson was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over seven innings pitched. Dobson was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Nathan Roeschlein, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Derek Potts, who went 2-for-4 with one triple and one run.

As of now, neither Justice nor Edison have any future games scheduled.
