Softball Recap: Grayson Makes It Five in a Row at Home

Grayson barely beat Newton the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Grayson blew past Newton 14-1 on Thursday. The result was nothing new for Grayson, who have now won six matchups by eight runs or more so far this season.

Grayson's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-5. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.6 runs over those games. As for Newton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Grayson will challenge Peachtree Ridge at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Newton, they will take on Luella at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
