Elizabeth came tearing into Thursday's game with 14 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.9 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Sierra Stallions 18-0. The Cardinals might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 15 matchups by six runs or more this season.

Aurelia Espinoza made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (and not a single walk). She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than one walk in 12 consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with four stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Those four stolen bases gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Olivia Vieyra was a standout: she fired off two home runs, three runs, and three RBI while going 3-for-3. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high. Makayla Wilson also deserves some recognition as she got her first hits of the season.

Elizabeth was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .773. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .344 or higher in ten consecutive contests.

Elizabeth's record is now 19-2. As for Sierra, their defeat was their eighth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-15.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Elizabeth beat the Stallions by a score of 16-0 later that day.
