Baseball Game Preview: Galloway Scots vs. Mount Paran Christian Eagles

The Galloway Scots will head out on the road to take on the Mount Paran Christian Eagles at 5:55 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

While Galloway's win against Holy Spirit Prep wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Scots had just enough and edged out the Cougars 3-2. The victory continues a trend for the Scots in their matchups with the Cougars: they've now won five in a row.

Malcolm Stachowiak made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over five innings pitched. Those six strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Stachowiak wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Graham Kelly, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one RBI. Those two stolen bases gave Kelly a new career-high.

Meanwhile, Mount Paran Christian came tearing into Monday's game with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.1 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 6-2 win over the Wolves.

Mount Paran Christian pushed their record up to 17-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Galloway, their record is now 3-12.
