Recap: Santa Teresa vs. James Lick
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Willow Glen, the Santa Teresa Saints were happy to have found some success on Monday. They never let James Lick onto the board and left with a 3-0 win. That's another feather in the cap for Santa Teresa, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
They were led to victory by the tag-team duo of
Chelsea Montejano and
Shayla Ibrahim, who scored all three of Santa Teresa's goals. The pair have combined for a total of six so far this season.
Santa Teresa has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-10-2 record this season. As for James Lick, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-11-2.
Santa Teresa is on the road again on Wednesday and plays Westmont at 7:00 p.m. on February 7th. Westmont is coming into the match with five straight wins at home, meaning Santa Teresa will have to defend against a team hungry for a win. James Lick will take on Prospect at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. James Lick's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.
