Basketball Recap: Chartiers Valley Colts vs. South Fayette Lions
It was a good run, but Chartiers Valley unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Monday. They lost 69-43 to the South Fayette Lions. While losing is never fun, the Colts can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 58th, while the Lions are ranked fourth).

Several Colts players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Emma Reynolds, who went 6 for 8 on her way to 17 points and three steals. That's the most points Reynolds has posted since back in February of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Iyla Ozbey, who posted six points and three steals.
Chartiers Valley's loss dropped their record down to 13-7. As for South Fayette, the win was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 19-1.
Chartiers Valley will take on Mars at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. South Fayette does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
