Briarwood Academy's game on Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They blew past the Bulloch Academy Gators 9-1. The result was nothing new for the Buccaneers, who have now won five matches by eight runs or more so far this season.

Briarwood Academy is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-6 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Bulloch Academy, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-15.

Coming up, Briarwood Academy will host Gatewood at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Buccaneers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Gators have averaged an impressive 7.2 runs per game this season.
