Recap: North Penn-Mansfield Tigers vs. Cowanesque Valley Indians
The North Penn-Mansfield Tigers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They took down Cowanesque Valley 36-21. The win was nothing new for North Penn-Mansfield as they're now sitting on three straight.
North Penn-Mansfield found their leader in underclassman Kameron Lightner, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds and six steals. Those 14 points set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of McKenna Lightner, who scored six points along with three steals.
North Penn-Mansfield is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. As for Cowanesque Valley, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North Penn-Mansfield will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Odessa-Montour at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Cowanesque Valley will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Canton at 6:00 p.m. on January 3, 2024.
