Football Recap: Franklin County's Undefeated Season over After Four Games

Franklin County's game on Friday was all tied up 14-14 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They came up short against the East Central Trojans, falling 35-14. The Wildcats were up 14-0 in the first quarter but couldn't hold on to the lead.

When it comes to explaining why Franklin County lost, don't look at Wyatt Bowling. Despite the final result, he rushed for 169 yards and a pair of scores while picking up 7.0 yards per carry. Bowling was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 64 yards.

Having lost for the first time this season, Franklin County fell to 3-1. As for East Central, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 3-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Franklin County will venture away from home to face off against Lawrenceburg at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wildcats will need to watch out since the Tigers have now posted at least 31 points in their last three matches. As for East Central, they will head out to challenge Batesville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Trojans surely won't give up without a fight.
