Basketball Recap: Paradise Comes Up Short

Paradise was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They came up short against the Durham Trojans, falling 35-10. The Bobcats were not able to make up for their defeat to the Trojans from their previous meeting back in January of 2024.

Durham can attribute much of their success to Payton Santos, who posted six points and nine boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Claire Birchard, who had two points along with six rebounds and three steals.

Paradise's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Durham, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.

Paradise will face off against East Nicolaus at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Durham, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 66-18 victory against Hamilton on the 18th.
