Baseball Recap: Christiana Takes a Loss

Christiana was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Concord Raiders, falling 15-4. The Vikings were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Raiders apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2022.

Christiana saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jackson Fletcher, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Christiana's defeat dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Concord, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.

Christiana will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Brandywine at 3:30 p.m. The Vikings' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bulldogs have averaged an impressive 8.6 runs per game this season. As for Concord, they will take on Mount Pleasant at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Raiders' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Green Knights have averaged an impressive 6.9 runs per game this season.
