Recap: Bishop McCort Crushers vs. Bedford Bisons

In what's become a running theme this season, the Bishop McCort Crushers gave their fans yet another huge win on Monday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Bedford 63-35 on the road. Bishop McCort's win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Leading Bishop McCort to victory were Gianna Gallucci and Cami Beppler. Gallucci scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and two steals, while Beppler scored 20 points along with nine rebounds and two steals. Gallucci is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Elle Berkebile, who scored three points along with six assists and four steals.

Despite the defeat, Bedford saw an underclassman step up: Rebekah Costal scored 13 points. That was a full 37.1% of Bedford's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Katie Mcdevitt was another key contributor, scoring nine points.

Bishop McCort pushed their record up to 13-0 with that victory, which was their tenth straight on the road. As for Bedford, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bishop McCort will take on Chestnut Ridge at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Chestnut Ridge will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 216th, while Bishop McCort is ranked 20th). As for Bedford, they will head out on the road to face off against Clearfield at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Clearfield focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Monday.
