Soccer Recap: Campbell Comes Up Short

Campbell's game on Thursday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell 4-2 to the Pebblebrook Falcons. While losing is never fun, Campbell can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 89th, while Pebblebrook are ranked 35th).

Campbell's loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 8-6-1. As for Pebblebrook, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-2.

Campbell will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Osborne at 8:00 p.m. on the 15th. As for Pebblebrook, they will challenge Christian Brothers at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Christian Brothers' defense has only allowed 0.3 goals per game this season, so Pebblebrook's offense will have their work cut out for them.
