After a string of five wins, Clovis's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hobbs Eagles. If Clovis were looking for revenge after losing 2-1 to Hobbs when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Clovis' loss dropped their record down to 10-5. As for Hobbs, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-4-1.

Coming up, Clovis will be playing at home against Roswell at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hobbs, they will head out on the road to face off against Carlsbad at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hobbs will be up against Carlsbad's rather soft defense (which has allowed 4.29 goals per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
