Soccer Game Preview: Mt. Carmel vs. Cathedral Catholic

The Mt. Carmel Sundevils will hit the road for the first time this season to challenge the Cathedral Catholic Dons at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.

Mt. Carmel is looking to tack another W on to their season record, something they couldn't quite do against Torrey Pines on Thursday. The two teams finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw.

Meanwhile, Cathedral Catholic's match on Friday was close up to the half, but then they kicked things up a notch. They put the hurt on La Jolla with a sharp 3-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Cathedral Catholic.

They hit La Jolla with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Olivia Dianda, Lauren Gaviola, and Madie Agha.

Cathedral Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 2-0-1. Mt. Carmel's draw makes their record 1-0-1 this season.

Mt. Carmel beat Cathedral Catholic 3-1 when the teams last played back in December of 2024. Will the Sundevils repeat their success, or do the Dons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
