Basketball Game Preview: Winters Warriors vs. East Nicolaus Spartans

The Winters Warriors will head out on the road to challenge the East Nicolaus Spartans at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Winters is headed into Wednesday's game hungry for a win as their strong season has now been derailed by two straight defeats. They came up short against Pierce on Monday, falling 51-27. The Warriors were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 30-7.

Meanwhile, East Nicolaus lost to Durham on the road by a 50-33 margin on Monday.

Winters will have to contain Rylee Gillespie as she made an impact in East Nicolaus' last game. She posted 15 points.

Winters' loss ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-5. As for East Nicolaus, they dropped their record down to 13-9 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Winters didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against East Nicolaus in their previous matchup on January 7th, but they still walked away with a 29-24 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Winters since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
