Basketball Game Preview: Alliance Christian Gryphons vs. Lancaster County Christian Lions

The Alliance Christian Gryphons will head out to take on the Lancaster County Christian Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Alliance Christian hasn't scored more than 15 points for three games straight, a trend the squad is eager to reverse.

Alliance Christian is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Coventry Christian back in December of 2024 (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Alliance Christian was beaten by Coventry Christian 53-15. The Gryphons were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-6.

Meanwhile, Lancaster County Christian unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a blow against Linville Hill, falling 67-36. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Lions have suffered since March 8, 2024.

Alliance Christian's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Lancaster County Christian, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-3.

Alliance Christian was able to grind out a solid win over Lancaster County Christian when the teams last played back in January of 2015, winning 37-28. Will Alliance Christian repeat their success, or does Lancaster County Christian have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
