Softball Recap: St. Paul Has No Trouble Against Southern/Diller-Odell

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Centennial, St. Paul was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They put the hurt on Southern/Diller-Odell with a sharp 12-6 win. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won four games by six runs or more so far this season.

Annie Stepanek was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Jorja Vokes was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: St. Paul kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

The victory got St. Paul back to even at 5-5. As for Southern/Diller-Odell, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-8.

St. Paul didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 8-1 defeat against Malcolm on the 13th. Hopefully Southern/Diller-Odell paid attention to St. Paul's matchup: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on St. Paul at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
