Baseball Recap: Eagle's Landing Christian Academy Extends Winning Streak to Three

Eagle's Landing Christian Academy waltzed into their match on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They put the hurt on the McDonough Warhawks with a sharp 11-1 victory.

Andrew Pauldin was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and only one walk). Those six strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. He is becoming a predictor of Eagle's Landing Christian Academy's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 4-10 when he doesn't).

In other batting news, Luke Stansell was excellent, scoring a run and stealing three bases while going 2-for-3. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Aidan Mathews, who scored a run and stole three bases while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

Eagle's Landing Christian Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .613. They are 3-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
