Football Game Preview: Little River Academy Bumblebees vs. C.H. Yoe Yoemen + How To Watch

Little River Academy hasn't had much luck against C.H. Yoe recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Bumblebees will venture away from home to challenge the Yoemen at 7:30 p.m. Little River Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 35.6 points per game this season.

Little River Academy is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They came out on top against McGregor by a score of 56-49 on Friday. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Bumblebees' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 452nd, while the Bulldogs are ranked 912th).

Brian Grissom was his usual excellent self, rushing for 480 yards and seven TDs while picking up 16.6 yards per carry. Thanks to that big game, he is now up to 20 rushing touchdowns on the season.

Grissom was just one part of a punishing run game: Little River Academy was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 557 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 154 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

Meanwhile, C.H. Yoe was beaten by Franklin 79-20 on Friday. The Yoemen have struggled against the Lions recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Little River Academy's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-4. Those home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.3 points over those games. As for C.H. Yoe, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-6.

Little River Academy came up short against C.H. Yoe in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, falling 35-31. Can the Bumblebees avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
