After a string of five wins, Pace Academy's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of Midtown by a score of 3-2. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Pace Academy came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 20th, while Midtown is ranked 166th).

Pace Academy's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 9-3. As for Midtown, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season.

Pace Academy will challenge Drew at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Midtown, they will face off against M.L. King at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
