Gunn and Cupertino are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2018, but not for long. The Gunn Titans will head out to take on the Cupertino Pioneers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Gunn is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last five games.

On Saturday, Gunn never let University Prep Academy onto the board and left with a 2-0 victory. Given the Titans' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 418th, while the Golden Eagles are ranked 880th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Cupertino came up short against Mountain View on Friday and fell 41-29. The Pioneers haven't had much luck with the Spartans recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.

Gunn pushed their record up to 14-7 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 22.7 points over those games. As for Cupertino, they now have a losing record at 9-10.

Gunn couldn't quite finish off Cupertino in their previous meeting back in January and fell 34-31. Can Gunn avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
