Basketball Recap: Tailynn Dungy and Bella Ewig Secure Win for Stone Ridge Christian

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Stone Ridge Christian). They secured a 35-29 W over the Buhach Colony Thunder on Wednesday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Knights as it put an end to their four-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Stone Ridge Christian was led to victory by Bella Ewig and Tailynn Dungy. Ewig posted 22 points in addition to eight boards and four steals, while Dungy put up seven points along with 12 steals and eight boards. The contest was Ewig's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mikyla Beene, who had six points along with seven rebounds and four steals.

Stone Ridge Christian's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Buhach Colony, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-9.

Stone Ridge Christian won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Ceres at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Buhach Colony, they will host Delhi at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Buhach Colony is facing Delhi at the right time seeing as Delhi is stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
