Softball Game Preview: Olive Wildcats vs. Davenport Bulldogs

Olive hasn't had much luck against Davenport recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Wildcats will face off against the Bulldogs at 10:00 a.m.

Olive fell victim to Drumright and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They lost 10-0 to the Tornadoes. The match marked the first time this season in which the Wildcats were not able to get on the board.

Meanwhile, Davenport came tearing into Friday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.7 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 win over the Panthers. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Bulldogs have posted since September 16, 2024.

Olive's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Davenport, their win bumped their record up to 9-3.

Olive might still be hurting after the 15-1 defeat they got from Davenport when the teams last played two weeks ago. Can the Wildcats avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
