            Soccer Recap: Santa Fe vs. Hobbs        
        
		
        
        
            Santa Fe faced Hobbs in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. While the  3-3 score might suggest a draw, it was the Eagles who were credited with the  win. The Hobbs Eagles got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to the Santa Fe Demons' three. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Santa Fe of the  2-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  back in September of 2024.
They hit Hobbs with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from  Gustavo Medina,  Xanti Valdez,  and  Luis Ruano.
This is the second loss in a row for Santa Fe and  nudges their season record down to 2-4. As for Hobbs, the  victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-2.
 Coming up, Santa Fe will stay at home for another  game and welcome Cleveland at 11:00  a.m.  on Friday. As for Hobbs, they will venture away from home to  challenge Los Alamos  at 1:00  p.m.  on Friday.
